Website Privacy Notice and Terms
1. Who we are
Valor Cargo provides freight-brokerage and load-arrangement services by connecting clients requiring transport with independent transport providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, we do not ourselves carry the goods.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the enquiry or transaction, we may collect business contact details, names, telephone numbers, email addresses, collection and delivery addresses, cargo descriptions, vehicle details, booking records, invoices and payment-related information reasonably required for our services.
Please do not submit identity documents, banking information or other sensitive information unless reasonably necessary and requested through an appropriate secure channel.
3. Why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, obtain quotations, arrange and manage loads, communicate with clients and transporters, verify relevant business credentials, process invoices, prevent fraud, keep records and comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing of information
We may share relevant information with the client, selected transporter, authorised service providers, professional advisers, insurers or public authorities where reasonably necessary for the service or required by law.
We will not sell personal information as a routine commercial product.
5. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to safeguard information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, subject to applicable legal record-keeping requirements.
6. Individual rights and queries
Requests concerning access to, correction of or other lawful rights relating to personal information may be directed to letsmove@valorcargo.co.za. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
7. Website and booking terms
Website enquiries and indicative quotations do not constitute a confirmed booking. A load is confirmed only when the relevant parties accept the material terms in writing.
Clients and transporters remain responsible for providing accurate information and complying with the contracts and legal requirements applicable to their respective roles.
Any brokerage fee, cancellation charge or other amount must be disclosed and agreed in writing before it becomes payable.
8. No unlawful exclusion of rights
Nothing in this notice or the website terms excludes any right or liability that may not lawfully be excluded.
9. Updates and contact
This notice may be updated when our practices or applicable law change. The current version and its effective date will be displayed on the website.
