Carrier & Shipment Standards

Trust is built in the detail.

The principles below describe the operating approach Valor Cargo is establishing for sourcing carriers and coordinating shipments.

  1. 01

    Carrier identity and business details

Confirming who the transport provider is, and that their business details are genuine, before any load is allocated.

  2. 02

    Vehicle, driver and operating documentation

Checking that relevant registration, licensing and operating documents are current and appropriate for the movement.

  3. 03

    Vehicle capability matched to cargo

Ensuring the vehicle type, size and equipment suit the cargo's weight, dimensions and handling needs.

  4. 04

    Rates, collection and delivery expectations

Agreeing rates, collection arrangements and delivery expectations in writing before the shipment proceeds.

  5. 05

    Communicating delays or changes

Informing the relevant parties promptly of any material delay or change to the agreed arrangement.

  6. 06

Delivery confirmation and proof of delivery

Obtaining delivery confirmation, and proof of delivery where agreed, at the close of each shipment.

An honest note on scope

These are recommended procedures that guide how we work; the specific checks applied to a shipment are confirmed with you as part of each arrangement. Valor Cargo does not provide insurance cover, guaranteed delivery times or real-time tracking unless separately agreed in writing. Cargo owners should confirm appropriate goods-in-transit cover for their freight.
